Hello, Vanessa! We're thrilled to have you aboard!
It looks like we share a love for Disney Cruise Line and the joy of sharing the magic with our loved ones! After my family's first Disney Cruise, we couldn’t wait to plan our next voyage with my in-laws. We are Platinum Castaway Club Members, and they’re now Gold, so I’ve had plenty of experience booking onboard activities and navigating the check-in process with different membership levels. I’m happy to share how we make traveling together a smooth experience.
As you know, your online check-in date is determined by your
Castaway Club level. Your parents can complete their online check-in 30 days before sailing. When I travel with my in-laws, we have yet to receive the same Port Arrival Time and boarding group number, but it's really not a problem. Since we drive, we wait to head to the port until their designated Port Arrival Time. We complete the port check-in separately, then regroup in the terminal seating area. When their boarding group number is called, we walk on the ship together.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll be eager to get on board as soon as possible. I promise the magic will be waiting for you, whether you’re boarding group 1 or 20. When we reach the terminal, I like to open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, check our dining rotation and table number, and start planning all the fun ahead. It helps the wait go by quickly, and before I know it, it’s time to walk through the golden Mickey ears!
Vanessa, traveling with your parents on their first Disney Cruise will be amazing! It’s a chance to create new memories and show them why you love Disney Cruises so much. Enjoy every minute of this adventure together!
Happy planning!
