How do I get to the cruise ship from the airport

Ahoy, Sarah! I'm thrilled to welcome you to planDisney. And it looks like you are just a couple of weeks away from Captains Mickey and Minnie welcoming you on board your Disney Cruise Line vacation! The countdown timer on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is just about to hit single digits. Hot dog! Hot dog! Hot diggity dog!

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers for purchase for trips from the airport to most departure ports. I was hoping to find your port based on your sail date, but cruises are leaving from Port Canaveral, Port Everglades and Galveston on that same day! (I now have the Christmas carol "I saw three ships go sailing by on Christmas Day" going in my head.)

The good news is Disney has ground transportation from local airports to these three ports; however, seats are limited. With your cruise so close on the horizon, you should call as soon as possible to check availability. Currently, the number is (800) 951-3532. Have your cruise reservation number and airport arrival and departure information handy.

If these are sold out, you could use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. These are very convenient if you fly into Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport since Port Everglades is so close.

Port Canaveral is about an hour away from the Orlando airport. These services will take you to the port, but you may also want to look into a private transportation service to have the peace of mind that comes with a reserved trip. I have used Happy Limo before, but you can find several companies with an internet search.

Similarly, Galveston is just over an hour away from George Bush Airport in Houston. A few companies offer scheduled transportation to the port.

With your cruise so close, I'm guessing you might be hauling out the luggage and thinking about outfits! Disney has a packing list to help make sure you have everything. The most important thing, after arriving at the port, is having your required travel documents

Sarah, I hope this information helps. If you have any follow-up questions, feel free to ask me directly. You are also welcome to visit us at planDisney any time as you plan your magical vacations!
