My cruise sets sail from Sydney, Australia aboard the Disney Wonder on Dec 24th. We are stopping at Hobart, Australia before returning to Sydney. Since we aren't leaving Australia, will we still need to present valid passports?

    Hi Emmanuel,

It’s lovely to see you again and thank you for asking us another great question about your family’s upcoming Disney Cruise Line voyage this Christmas!

If I understand your question correctly, your sailing won’t be stopping in New Caledonia but will only be stopping at Australian ports. Assuming that you and your travelling party are Australian citizens, I believe that you will only need Government-issued photo ID for all guests 18 years of age and over. For any children under the age of 18 in your party, you’ll need the same kind of Government-issued photo ID OR an original or copy of their Government-issued birth certificate.

That said, even for “closed loop” sailings, Disney continues to recommend that Guests carry a valid passport with them. While it may not be strictly necessary to board the beautiful Disney Wonder in Sydney, I firmly believe that a passport is always a ticket to peace of mind during travel.

As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help, especially as you get that much closer to your sailing!!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
