    We're going on our 1st cruise in Sept. My husband & I want to run the 5k on Castaway Cay but our youngest DD will only be 9 at the time. Would she be able to run w/us & her big sister (11)? If not what can we do with both DD's while hubby & I

    Cheers! You're going on your very first magical voyage, Stefanie! That is awesome news, and you know that you and your family will have such a blast onboard the Disney Cruise ship!

    The Castaway Cay 5K Fun Run currently allows guests 10 years and older to register and participate. Since your daughter is 9 years old, you might still want to check onboard that morning whether or not they will make any exceptions - it never hurts to ask... especially if your daughter might be just shy of 10 years old (and just so happens to really really want to run with you). If she is not allowed to run, then she is more than welcome to spend some time at the Youth Clubs that morning until you finish the run and come get her. If they were my teens, they would actually welcome getting a couple extra hours of sleep in the stateroom that morning. Funny, how I usually come home from a run in the morning around the deck -- and come home to our stateroom with everyone still asleep! 

    The family run sounds like a great idea while on Castaway Cay, Stefanie. I hope things work out for you guys. Don't worry, you'll be in Castaway Cay that whole day enjoying the awesome beaches and many activities for the day. Your kids might not mind skipping out on the run, for some extra zzzz's  :-).
