I have a cruise reservation on hold, how do I pay the deposit?

Ahoy there, Candice! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited that you're planning to embark on an incredible Disney Cruise Line vacation next January!

My family loves cruising in January, not only because we have the luxury of our son not being in school just yet, but also because it's a great way to start the year off with a little bit of MAGIC and a dash of WONDER, setting us up for a FANTASY of a year where we can all DREAM and WISH about what is "just around the river bend..." or in this case, over the horizon!

Speaking of just over the horizon, if you've placed a reservation hold, you really are just a few steps away from getting your deposit down and securing your stateroom and sail date! Simply log into the Disney Cruise Line website, and set your course for the "My Reservations" section under the "Already Booked" menu! From there, you should see your held reservation as long as you were logged-in under the same Disney account! From there, you should see the option to "Make a Payment" which will lead you step-by-step through reviewing your selections and give you payment options for the deposit amount!

If for some reason you don't see your held cruise anymore, it's possible that the hold expired and you'll have to start the booking process over again but don't despair! With January 2023 just offshore, there are almost certainly staterooms available that will fit your vacation dreams - but I'd still act fast!

Oh, and if you happened to mean you had a placeholder reservation, you'll need to contact a Disney Cruise Line crew member by phone to convert your placeholder into a reservation! Phone lines have been busy, so I definitely suggest calling as early as possible when the lines open up at 8 a.m. Eastern...ooh, I see you're in the Pacific Time Zone...I wish Cove Café was right outside your door, Candice!

In any case, once your deposit is paid, you'll be able to see your Final Payment and booking window dates - that's when planning gets REALLY fun! I could go on and on, but let's just say that there really is something for everyone on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, and it's always a shipload of fun!

I hope that helps you chart the right course to navigate these waters, Candice! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as you continue planning, please send a message in a bottle my way!

Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
