I’ve never been on a cruise, and I am really thinking about taking my two boys sometime next year. I would like to know if all meals are included and if we can get daycare on one of the nights?

    Ahoy, Gabriela!

I'm so happy to hear you're considering taking your first cruise with Disney Cruise Line! Our very first cruise was aboard a Disney ship, and I just don't know if we will ever sail with anyone else. We LOVE our Disney Cruise Line vacations, especially because of all that's included in the price of the cruise.

You'll be happy to know that, yes, all of your meals are included with your cruise fare! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, even all-you-care-to-enjoy soft-serve ice cream - it's included. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, hot cocoa - all included! Disney Cruise Line features 24-hour Room Service, and guess what? It's included too. My family likes to order warm cookies and milk at bedtime. Yes, I'm in my forties, and I still do this - I'm on vacation! Moms Panel Tip: while you may not see Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars on the Room Service menu, you can get those too - just ask!

Each evening, you'll get to enjoy dinner in the ship's three themed Main Dining restaurants. Disney Cruise Line features rotational dining, so your servers will rotate with you each evening. You'll get to dine in each venue at least once during your sailing.

Food and beverage items that require an additional charge are alcoholic or specialty beverages (including specialty coffee drinks), adult-only dining venues, and snacks sold at the onboard theatres.

If you'd like childcare while onboard, Disney Cruise Line has amazing Youth Clubs available for little ones ages 3 and up (included in your cruise fare), and "it's a small world" nursery is available (by reservation only) for cruisers 6 months to 3 years old (or from 1 to 3 years old on Transatlantic, Hawaii and Panama Canal itineraries). My daughters have spent time in all the Youth Clubs, and have loved every minute with the fantastic Youth Counselors.

I hope this helps answer your questions, and I hope you'll soon be planning your first cruise with Captain Mickey! - Diane W.
