Before our cruise in Oct. 8 of us are staying at the Movies resort. Can we do a character breakfast at the Grand Floridian that morning and arrange to be picked up from there? Would luggage be taken from Movies or GF? Thank you

    Hi Stacy,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Glad to hear you want to take advantage of every last moment at Walt Disney World before you set sail on your Disney Cruise.  Due to the complex nature of efficiently managing the transfer of guests from multiple resorts to Port Canaveral, guests are assigned a pick up time by the cruise line.  Unfortunately this information is not provided until the day before you sail, and you will not have any control over the time or location - your transfer will only be available to you from the resort you check out of.  Your luggage will most likely be taken in the early morning before you even leave for breakfast.

The good news is that I still think you would have plenty of time to dine at the Grand Floridian and make it back to your transfer motorcoach at your resort.  The pickup times are generally between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., so if you have a dining reservation for 9:00 a.m. or earlier I think you will be all set - that will allow you about an hour to eat and another hour to get back to your resort.

    Hope this helps, bon voyage!
