We are on a cruise Monday-Friday. We plan to do WDW Saturday & Sunday before and after the cruise. The tickets say they expire one day before we tend to use them. How can I get tickets that will last the whole time of our Disney experience?

    Hi there, Levi!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you set sail for a fantastic land and sea vacation in just a few weeks. You must be so excited, counting the days until your adventure with Captain Mickey!

I love the idea of bookending your Disney Cruise Line vacation with time in the theme parks. My family was not ready to return to the "real world" after our time aboard the Disney Wish, and we were relieved to have a day at Walt Disney World to look forward to after disembarking. Date-based theme park tickets have a window during which all theme park days must be redeemed. For example, a 4-day theme park ticket starting March 23 can be used any four days between March 23 and March 29. A 2-day theme park ticket has a four-day use window. You would need to buy two 2-day tickets to visit for four days spanning consecutive weekends.

This may not be the news you hoped to hear, as two 2-day tickets are more costly than a single 4-day ticket. If you're not interested in purchasing two sets of tickets, consider spending the weekend before or after your cruise visiting the theme parks and the other weekend relaxing at a resort. Before your cruise, you'll be energized and excited for the week ahead - the optimal time to experience the theme parks. My family was pretty tired after four nights on the Disney Wish (there were so many activities, and we didn't want to miss anything), so we ended up lounging by the pool and enjoying a nice meal at our resort on disembarkation day rather than venturing into a theme park. It was the perfect way to reacclimate ourselves before heading home! You can always purchase one set of tickets ahead of time and wait until the end of your sailing to see how you feel before deciding how to spend your final two days on land before returning home.

I hope this has been helpful, Levi. Best wishes for an incredible vacation, and if there's anything else we at planDisney can do to make it even more memorable, don't hesitate to come to see us again.

    Bon voyage,
    Betsy
