Hi! Going on our 1st cruise on Magic and my kids are anxious about youth clubs. They speak french (they know some words in english) and want to know if I can join them in specific activities to help them understand. My kids are 11,9 and 5. Thanks!

    Bonjour, Renee!

Your children are more than welcome at the Youth Activities Spaces -- with or without you. Because Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Crew Members hail from all over the world, there are many languages spoken throughout the ships. Most likely, someone will be able to interpret what your children are saying and how the counselors can best meet their needs when you're not around. To be confident, make sure you note that they speak French when you register them for the clubs and on your reservation. Plus, when you visit the youth clubs on Embarkation Day, you'll want to introduce your children to the counselors and ask if there is someone who can interpret.

Also, to make you all feel at ease, my four children -- who speak English and only a little Spanish -- have made many friends who speak little or no English while at the DCL youth clubs. Children all speak the universal language of "play!" I hope this helps you plan and relieves any worries.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
