Ahoy, Karen! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your Disney Cruise Line questions to set you and your entire party up for smooth sailing on embarkation day.
Disney Cruise Line does not rent scooters to guests, but they do provide a list of potential rental companies as a convenience. There is a list of four different companies that may be able to assist you with reserving a scooter for your sailing in the “Information for Guests with Disabilities and/or Medical Conditions” document located
here. The “Rental and Delivery Companies” section on page 22 includes the contact information for those four companies, but you are welcome to use whichever rental company you would like.
All guest equipment, including electric mobility scooters, must be stored inside your stateroom when not in use, so be sure to keep the stateroom doorway sizes in mind. Wheelchair accessible staterooms have doorways that are 32 inches wide, but the standard stateroom doorways are only 23 inches wide. Each ship also has alternate parking locations available for mobility devices, but there is no guarantee that they will be near your stateroom.
If you have any other mobility concerns, then you can contact
Disney Cruise Line Special Services prior to sailing at (407) 566-3602 or email them at specialservices@contact.disneycruiseline.com. Once you are onboard, then the
Guest Services desk will be your point of contact for any questions or concerns.
Enjoy your upcoming sailing and feel free to reach back out to planDisney with any other vacation planning questions. Happy sailing!
