When going on a cruise, are the large suit cases you can purchase from shop Disney from American Tourister too big for the cabin? 3 out of the 4 people staying in our cabin have them.

    Hi Rebecca!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  It appEARs that you have a MAGICal adventure at sea planned for early next year!  I absolutely love cruising during the winter months because it’s such a welcomed break from cold weather although I definitely do NOT experience the same type of winters you do here in Texas!

I am so glad you sailed by with this great question about luggage size…you are definitely thinking ahead, and I LOVE that!  I always try to pack way ahead of time…. but that rarely happens, and I end up throwing anything and everything I might possibly need into a suitcase resulting in us bringing the largest suitcases EVER onboard with us!  We have not had any problem with bringing large suitcases, and they will easily store under the bed in the stateroom which is so nice because they are out of sight and hidden away, not taking up space in the stateroom.  I checked the dimensions of the largest American Tourister suitcases available on shopDisney and compared them to our luggage (which are sitting out patiently waiting for me to pack them for our upcoming voyage) and they are the same size as ours, although ours are “expandable” allowing us to compress them to fit under the bed.  The approximate clearance under the bed is 12 inches, so you may want to keep that in mind.  Yours are listed as 13 inches, so it may be a tighter squeeze, but I do believe you should be able to fit them underneath.  Otherwise, you will need to tuck them away into a corner of your stateroom.

Since I am usually a last-minute packer and always end up forgetting something, I always find myself visiting the onboard laundry rooms to run a load (or two) of laundry while onboard so know that those are always an option if needed!  Or, better yet…head down to the onboard gift shops and pick up whatever you may need!  They have it all…including swimsuits…says the mama who forgot her boys’ swimsuits before!

Wishing you the best adventure with Captain Mickey filled with many magical memories!

    Happy Sailing!
