Want to cruise Jan 2011. For dinner only second seating is available. Can we make this work with an 8 year old? Concerned about her missing childrens activities she may want to attend but still want to do sit down dinners at restaurants as a family. Thanks

    Hi Stephanie,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  No worries - Disney Cruise Line has implemented a new feature they call "Dine and Play" for those families with the late dinner seating.  A Youth Activities Counselor will be available at the entrance to your assigned dining location around 9:00 p.m. to escort any children back to the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab.  The allows for time for the children to eat with their family, but head out early for more fun in the club.  Your child must be registered in the Oceaneer program to take advantage of this feature.

    Hope this helps!
