Disney Cruise Line offers so much fun on board for the entire family, so I'm excited to chat with you today about starting to dig into the planning process to find a sailing that works for your crew! Let's dive right in!
While I can't give you an exact cost, I can share with you a few tips and suggestions to help you determine if a Disney Cruise Line vacation is right for your family's budget. There are so many factors to consider as you plan, and each of these can affect the total cost of your cruise vacation:
- Length of itinerary - Disney offers quick sailings like 3 or 4 nights, weeklong adventures, and even longer options for true adventurers!
- Stateroom type - Choosing between an inside stateroom, ocean view, or verandah can affect the cruise fare, as well as opting for suites or concierge services.
- Destinations - In addition to your cruise fare, you'll want to consider which ports of call you'll be visiting and what excursions you're interested in. When sailing to Castaway Cay, for example, lots of things are already included in your cruise cost, but this is also a popular destination since it is only accessible through Disney Cruise Line.
- Sailing date - Peak seasons like holidays or school breaks tend to drive up cruise prices and popularity.
- Choice of ship - your newer, larger ships often come with a higher price tag.
With all these things in mind, the best way to get an idea of what your cost would be is to
explore different sailings online, keeping the options above in mind. If your heart is set on a particular port of call, ship, or departure port, you might consider adjusting your room type or number of nights to make it work for your family. Another tip I'll offer is to keep an eye out for any
Special Offers that you might be eligible to take advantage of for your sailing. My family of four sailed last spring on board the
Disney Wish; we had certain dates that worked with our schedules, but we were lucky to find a Disney+ subscriber offer that helped make it the perfect sailing for us!
