Ahoy there, Jessica!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be boarding the beautiful Disney Wish on Halloween—it’s a boo-tiful time to sail with Disney!
Halloween on the High Seas is packed with frightfully fun surprises, and setting sail in costume is the perfect way to kick off your adventure.
Now let’s talk transportation—because even the best fairy tales need a smooth ride home after the ball. While Disney Cruise Line does offer
ground transfers from Port Canaveral to Walt Disney World Resort hotels on disembarkation day, they do not currently offer transportation from your resort to Orlando International Airport the following day. I know that’s probably not the magical ending you were hoping for, but I’ve got a few ideas to help keep your happily-ever-after stress-free—especially when it comes to avoiding the need for car seats!
First, if you haven’t already booked your transfer from the port to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I recommend
calling Disney Cruise Line as soon as possible to secure that shuttle ride. It’s a comfy and convenient option that lets the magic continue just a little longer—plus, no car seats required since you're on a Disney motorcoach!
Now for your post-resort plans: Disney Cruise Line does sometimes offer private transfers through their transportation partner that can be arranged from your resort to the airport if your resort stay is added to your cruise reservation. Availability can vary, so it’s worth asking when you call. This option could help you skip the logistics of third-party services while still giving you peace of mind.
If you decide a private transfer isn’t your style, you could also look into companies like Mears Connect or other shuttle services that operate between the resorts and the airport. Additionally, some ride-share apps allow you to request a vehicle with a car seat—but I recommend double-checking the app and availability ahead of time to avoid any last-minute hiccups.
Speaking of planning ahead, since you’re embarking on October 31st, don’t forget to have your
Halloween costumes packed in your carry-on bag (or wear them to the port!). Sometimes checked luggage takes a little while to be delivered to your stateroom, and you won’t want to miss Mickey’s Mouse-querade or the chance to trick-or-treat around the ship in style. Trust me—watching Captain Minnie in costume is worth every pumpkin-spiced second!
I hope this helps you plan a smooth and spooktacular end to your vacation. From sailing through pumpkin-lit halls to carving out more memories at Walt Disney World, you're in for a treat from start to finish.
Sea ya real soon with a July full of fireworks at sea and memories that sparkle like pixie dust,
Dustin
