For our cruise on the Disney magic out of Port CanaveralMy daughter is in a different cabin and has a different reservation than my husband and I do but we are traveling together. Can we get the same boarding time? How do we do that?

Hello, L! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you cruised to us with your question as you prepare to make family memories aboard the Disney Magic. I'd love to help!

When it comes to boarding as a group traveling with separate reservations, I encourage your daughter to complete the online check-in process at the same time that you do. Hopefully, your Port Arrival Times will be similar. While it's not guaranteed that you will have the same boarding time, you are always welcome to board together using the later boarding group of the two parties. That way, your whole family can stick together.

If you'd like to use Disney Cruise Line Ground transportation to arrive at the port, you won't have to select a Port Arrival Time. Once you arrive at the port, you'll check in and wait for your boarding group number to be called. This is my preferred method of transportation to Port Canaveral. You can call Disney Cruise Line to arrange for transportation from the Orlando airport to the port, or from a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to the port. It's a seamless and relaxing way to get the cruise vacation started.

If you'd like to dine together and make plans together on the ship, please be sure to link your reservations together. To begin, this can be accomplished in either the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or on the Disney Cruise Line website. From the Navigator app, sign in to your reservation. Then, click the three horizontal lines on the bottom right-hand side of the screen labeled "More". Click "Add Reservation" right below the waving Captain Mickey. You will need to provide the last name, birth date, and reservation number of a guest in the stateroom with which you would like to connect.

To do this on the Disney Cruise Line website, simply head to the website homepage and hover over the "Already Booked" tab in the right-hand corner. Next, click "My Reservations" under the "My Disney Cruise" heading and log in to your reservation. Once logged in, find your sailing information and select "Add Reservations".

I hope this information helps you feel prepped and ready to go for the fun that is just around the corner! Have an incredible sailing. Bon Voyage!
