To find a discount on your Disney cruise, the best place is the
Special Offers page on the Disney Cruise Line website. Disney Cruise Line has had SO MANY wonderful Special Offers lately! If you see one that might apply to you, such as a Florida or Military discount, click the arrow on the right, where you will be directed to the sailings that go with it.
You can also start on the “Plan a Cruise” page and filter the sailings by the Special Offers, under “Show Special Offer Filters”. This will direct you to only the sailings with special offers.
Let’s say you find a sailing you love, but there isn’t a Special Offer for it. My recommendation is to reserve the sailing, pay the deposit, and keep checking the Special Offers page to see if one can be applied later. Because Disney Cruise Line is flexible, you can
modify the sailing up until the final payment date. Remember my point above about Disney Cruise Line having so many Special Offers lately? Well, just yesterday, I was able to rebook a sailing I had previously reserved and paid a deposit for, because a Special Offer was added for it a few days ago! I saved so much money that Disney-Cruise-Girl-Math obviously states that this equals extra cute Disney Cruise Line merch onboard!
There’s one more way that you can save money on your Disney cruise, but it involves sailing on a Disney cruise (I know, tough job, but someone’s gotta take one for the team). This is to reserve a
Placeholder Reservation while on board a current Disney cruise. A Placeholder Reservation is a Special Offer for current Disney Cruise Line guests to secure a future Disney cruise discount between 10%-25% (individual sail dates have different discount amounts). A fully refundable $250 deposit is required to secure the Placeholder Reservation while on board. You don’t have to choose a sail date on board, but later, you can choose a sail date within two years. Once applied to the sail date of your choice, the $250 you used to secure the Placeholder Reservation automatically turns into part of the deposit for the cruise, and a minimum discount of 10% to a maximum of 25% is applied! If you don't end up sailing within two years, the $250 is refunded to you. Disney-Cruise-Girl-Math calls this a win-win! You can make this reservation in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, under “Book On Board and Save!”
Lastly, Disney Cruise Line offers a flexible payment plan called
“Pay at Your Own Pace”, where you can customize a payment plan for your cruise. While not a discount, this definitely helps alleviate any final payment stress since you’re paying for your vacation based on a timeline that’s comfortable for you.
