    We are going on a cruise in December 2011, my children are very excited to start collecting gift cards for birthdays and holidays. Can the gift cards be used on the ship for souvenirs? Can they be used to pay for excursions? Thanks You

    Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line! I'm sure your children are eagerly collecting their Disney Gift Cards in order to enhance their vacation experience on board -- and you're wise to have them anticipate and plan in this way.

    The Disney Gift Card can be used to apply payment toward your shipboard account during your cruise -- so you can use it to purchase on board merchandise, spa treatments, Port Adventures and photos at Shutters.
