Hi there, Monica!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It appEARs that you are trying to book a last-minute voyage, which is one of my favorite things to do! While I do enjoy planning some adventures way in advance, I also love the excitement of booking a last-minute vacation! Unfortunately, now that my boys are a little older and we have school schedules to keep in mind, we can’t book these last-minute adventures like we could when they were younger! But I have learned that under no circumstance should I start their cruise countdown until the 30-day mark hits…otherwise I will be answering a barrage of “how many more days?!” and “is it time yet?!?” questions!
If you are trying to book a
specific voyage and unable to find a stateroom that fits your needs, I do recommend checking back often. If there is a cancellation, then the stateroom becomes available to book, but on a first-come, first-served basis. I also recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to see if they can assist in securing a stateroom for you. I have noticed that sometimes rooms get “held” or “locked” if another Guest is looking at them and I am unable to book it. But my travel agent or Disney Cruise Line has been able to get their hands on it and make the reservation for me. Another thing you may want to consider if you have a travel party of four or more is to get two adjacent or connecting staterooms. In addition to booking the reservation for the date you are hoping for, you will also end up with some additional room, which is never a bad thing!
I am sending pixie dust your way in hopes that you can book your adventure at sea!
Stephanie
