    I've never been on the cruise before, when on the cruise to the Bahama's, what can you do if you don't buy an excursion pkg since it pulls up to the Atlantis beach(which you have to pay for), will we have to stay on the ship?

    Welcome to the Moms panel, and congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise!

    Actually the cruise ships do not dock near the Atlantis resort, a water taxi or regular taxi service is required to access this resort.  The cruise ship will dock at Prince George Wharf, and there there is plenty of sight seeing and shopping within walking distance to the ship.  Many enjoy visiting the straw market and upscale shopping establishments in this area.  Once on board the ship, check your Personal Navigator for a information session on shopping in Nassau, they will have a cast member highlighting all of the unique and exciting shopping establishments in Nassau.
