Hi! Our cruise is coming up on the 25th of March. We'll be sailing on the Wonder with our then ,8 year old daughter. What do you recommend we sign up for at the desk on the first day. I know there are a lot of well kept secrets& I don't want her

    Ahoy Tykeisha –
Thanks for coming to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I must admit that the Disney Wonder is my favorite ship and I am thrilled you will be enjoying a magical vacation there soon. Your pirate fairy princess will have a fabulous time on the Wonder, and there is something fun to do for your entire pirate crew. My first big tip for you starts before you board the ship. After you have checked in at Port Canaveral, you are given a special newsletter called the Personal Navigator.  I notice that many guests wait until they board the ship to read it, but I urge you to read it in the cruise terminal because it is indeed your map to pirate treasure!
Yes, you are right, Tykeisha, everything seems to happen on embarkation day, and the Personal Navigator tells you when and where to sign up. I suggest that you sign up to meet the Princesses at the Princess Gathering. Yes, there are other opportunities to see the Princesses, but the gathering brings them all together so you can meet them all at once. A ticket is required and your treasure map (Personal Navigator) will tell you where to go and get it. Another exciting experience is the character breakfast. Tickets for that experience went like hotcakes and it was those folks who checked their Personal Navigator who managed to get one. Character breakfasts are subject to availability and may not be available on every cruise. On my last sailing 1 ½ months ago the character breakfast was Disney Junior so we got to meet Jake, Doc McStuffins (my favorite), Sofia the First, and of course Mickey Mouse. And “For the First Time in Forever” my pirate crew finally got a chance to meet Anna & Elsa and Olaf – again this was a ticketed event (subject to availability) with limited spaces. Tykeisha, I am sure that your pirate princess will have a blast on the Wonder, and I hope that you have happy planning for your trip.
