Ahoy, Laurenl! Welcome back to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about sailing where magic meets the sea.
As a fellow migraineur, I completely understand your pain and how an ill-timed migraine can ruin your vacation. My packing list always includes a few migraine relief items, so that I’m prepared to deal with my symptoms right when they start and try to salvage as much of the day as possible. Those headache hat style ice packs are a lifesaver and always a must have for my chronic migraines, so I travel with them whether I’m on land or at sea.
Although you are right that the
staterooms have beverage coolers rather than mini fridges, I have always found that they get the special gel of the headache hats cold enough to use. I always pack two (or even three), so that I can switch them out as they lose their cool and have a back up to use as they get cold again. Unfortunately, the beverage cooler drawers are basically built in on the newer ships and you cannot get a mini fridge for your stateroom. However, if you turn the beverage cooler temperature down to the lowest setting, you should still be able to get your headache hats cold enough to provide some relief.
Hopefully, you will have a mostly migraine-free sailing aboard the
Disney Treasure and can enjoy as much of your cruise as possible. If you have any other questions before you set sail in November, then feel free to reach back out to us at
planDisney. Happy sailing!
