Welcome to planDisney Caitlin!
It is so nice to "unplug" when heading on a Disney Cruise, but I understand the need to stay in touch with work and family!
To receive texts through imessage during your sailing, turn your phone to "Airplane Mode" and set your phone
wi-fi to "Disney Guest." There is no cost to use this feature, but both sender and
receiver must use imessage. Please note that this feature is for text only, no attachments or photos.
If you wish to use any other features such as internet surfing or social media, you will need to purchase an internet package while onboard. Please refer to the website for more information regarding
using your cell phone at sea.
Please know that even when buying an
internet package, service will not be what you are used to on land when at home or at your office. I usually just use texting onboard, then when in port I purchase a "travel pass" through my cell phone provider to make calls or check my emails. Start with your cell phone provider to see what options you have with your phone plan.
Once onboard, go to your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for information on Connect@Sea. You can see your options for purchasing a wifi package along with pricing. Stop by Guest Services if you have any questions.
I hope you find you are able to connect to your pals on land but still have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your magical sailing with the Disney Cruise Line!
