3/2019 cruise- Canaveral port. Flying in early in case of bad weather. Can the luggage service be used if staying elsewhere (not collected at MCO by us/not staying at Hyatt) and bags still sent to ship? Other hotel recommendations w/ grade school kids. TY!

    Ahoy, Lisa!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Cruise next year will be an unforgettable voyage to paradise! I'm so glad you're already starting to plan for your adventure on the high seas. Before you know it, you and your crew of little pirates will be dancing on deck during the Sail-Away Celebration as the ship gets ready to set sail.

I'm so glad you're flying in early, just in case the weather is bad. Unfortunately, if you're not flying in to Orlando International Airport on the morning of embarkation day, nor staying at a hotel that provides luggage services to Port Canaveral the morning of embarkation day, you will need to collect your luggage and bring it along with you to your hotel (and Port Canaveral).

However, I have a fun hotel recommendation that will also take care of collecting your luggage for you at the airport! If you fly in early and stay at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you can take advantage of Disney's Magical Express and board the complimentary motor coach from the Orlando International Airport to your Resort hotel. You won't have to pick up your luggage at the airport because this service "magically" does it for you! Your luggage will appear inside your Resort hotel room! Then, on the morning of embarkation day, you can use Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to the Cruise Terminal. Your luggage will be picked up from your Resort hotel room the morning of your cruise and taken straight to Port Canaveral. The next time you'll see it is outside of your stateroom door! Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation does charge per person. We absolutely love it and use it every time we sail!

Lisa, I hope I was able to help you plan for your exciting voyage next year!
