Ahoy, Sonia!
I'm so excited to hear you'll be enjoying your very first cruise on the beautiful
Disney Fantasy! Cruising with Disney is second-to-none, and you'll be amazed at how magical an experience a Disney Cruise can be. With all there is to see and do on a Disney Cruise, I'm sure it will be the first of many adventures with Captain Mickey and his crew!
On the day you disembark in Port Canaveral, all Guests (U.S. and non-U.S. citizens) will collect their luggage in the cruise terminal and present themselves for inspection with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Guests will only need to complete a U.S. Customs Declaration Form if they have something to declare, and there is an $800
Total Duty Free Allowance per person.
The best way to plan your shopping days in the ports is to attend one of the Port Shopping Talks, offered several times during your sailing. You'll have a Port Shopping Guide on the ship (on our last sailing on the Disney Fantasy, it was Maureene) that's happy to answer all of your shopping questions at the Port Shopping Desk, Deck 4, Midship. Simply check your Personal Navigator (a detailed newsletter with times and locations of all the happenings on the ship, delivered to your stateroom each day) for information about Port Shopping Talks! During our sailing they also offered a Diamond and Gemstone shopping seminar, which is awesome if you're thinking about picking up a little bling on the islands! The Port Shopping Talks are a great source of valuable information before you step off the ship to shop.
I hope this helps answer your question. Please let us know if you have more questions before your sail date - we're happy to help.
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
