Hello, I have a cruise booking for the new Disney Adventure and I have already had to move the travel date once. Am I able to modify and move my reservation to another date for a later time? Unfortunately my work schedule is not predictably stable :(

    Ahoy, Kasey!

Welcome aboard planDisney! I’m sorry to hear your work schedule is getting in the way of your play schedule. Trying to coordinate real life with vacation plans can feel a bit like trying to keep up with Dash Parr, everything moves fast and changes in a blink. I hope it all lines up so you get the green light to explore the brand-new Disney Adventure just as you imagined.

In situations like this, my best advice is to give Disney Cruise Line a call so they can look up your reservation and lay out all your available options. Without knowing all of the specific details of your booking, it is a bit tougher to give you the full details you need. Each Cast Members is fantastic at walking through your reservation step by step and explaining exactly what changes are possible, almost like having your own Fairy Godmother of vacation planning, but with a computer instead of a wand.

With that, there are a few things to keep in mind as you decide what your next steps are. I don’t think this applies to your situation since you said you have already had to move the date once, but typically Guaranteed Staterooms (where Disney picks your stateroom number for you) are not eligible for date changes. Another area that tends to restrict your ability to change the date is if you are within your final payment date period. Once that final payment date has passed, it is often hard to adjust your sail date and you may incur a cancellation fee if you need to change the date. The Booking Terms and Conditions will let you know what kind of fee there may be depending on your reservation details.

The Disney Adventure is such an exciting addition to the fleet, and I can only imagine how eager you must be to step aboard and see everything it has to offer. Hopefully your work calendar cooperates soon so your plans don’t keep shifting like the sands in the Cave of Wonders.

I hope this helps you feel a little more prepared as you figure out your next move and weigh your options. With a quick call and a little planning, you should have a clearer picture of what your path forward looks like.

Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
