We are going on a Cruise in April with my three year old and 7 month old. I was hoping to book a cabana at Castaway Cay. Is there any way of guaranteeing one because of our baby?

    Ahoy, Emilia!

I'm sure you're counting the days until April, and your Disney Cruise Line vacation! Your family is going to have so much fun sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew. We've been cruising with our daughters since they were the same ages as your children, and they've made amazing memories with Disney Cruise Line through the years. Disney Cruise Line does a great job of catering to guests of all ages, especially families traveling with little ones. Make sure to check out this list of onboard services and amenities available to make your vacation relaxing and fun.

I'm happy to hear your sailing itinerary includes a stop at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. It's by far my favorite place to visit on a Disney Cruise Line vacation - so much to see and do, and just beautiful from end to end! The private cabanas on the island are awesome, and reservations book extremely quickly. Certain guests (Concierge and Platinum Castaway Club members) are able to book their Cruise Activities up to 120 days in advance of the sail date, and they are some of the first to reserve the cabanas. If you happen to see cabanas available when your reservation window opens, reserve one quickly! If you don't see cabana availability online, make sure to stop by the Port Adventures Desk on embarkation day to ask about any cancellations.

If you're unable to secure a cabana reservation, no need to worry. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided free of charge, and they're plentiful. Complimentary wagons are available as well, for those who may need to bring along gear for their little cruisers. Moms Panel Tip: I encourage you to head off the ship early, as the wagons are first come, first served.

I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
