Yo ho, Janet!
I am so excited to SEA that you have an upcoming Disney cruise planned. Your crew must be so excited! Get ready for
all the magic that’s included on your sailing.
Although Captain Mickey has not set forth the new pirate code to follow when cruising resumes here in the US, I’ll bet that he and his amazing crew are working hard making everything shipshape. Like Captain Jack Sparrow, he will soon be able to say, “Bring me that horizon!”
My best GUESS is that Disney Cruise Line may temporarily pause the fish extender exchanges when sailing resumes from US ports. I say this because for the Disney Magic at Sea sailings from the UK, Disney Cruise Line said the
door-to-door gift exchanges would not be allowed in order to minimize traffic in common areas. That same goal of keeping hallways clear of Guests would apply regardless of whether in the UK or the US. But for now, we simply do not know if the same rule will apply to your sailing.
Since using fish extenders has been addressed specifically for the
Disney Magic at Sea voyages, Disney Cruise Line will come out and say what will be allowed when Captain Mickey makes his grand return to sailing. So keep a weather eye on the Disney Cruise Line website for updated information.
Above all else, Disney Cruise Line is dedicated to the
health and safety of Guests and crew. When the Jolly Roger is raised, we can still expect the high caliber of
activities and
entertainment that’s the hallmark of Disney cruising. Just be prepared for some modifications and you will be just fine. After over a year of being a landlubber, I am more than ready to set sail...and also understanding that it may look a little different initially when cruising resumes. I can “get onboard” with that because I just want to be back on a Disney ship!
Janet, steer back to planDisney as you chart your course for your voyage. Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea with your crew!
Happy Sailing!
