How are the crowds usually the week before Christmas. Thinking about visiting when they do the free dining plan December 13 - 20th?

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

Traditionally, the week between Christmas and New Year's Day is the busiest week of the year at Disney World. Naturally, the closer you get to Christmas (December 25), the larger the crowds. Twice our family has left for Disney as soon as my children got out of school for Christmas Break and headed back home a few days before Christmas. The parks were very manageable on the front-end of the trip with the crowds building gradually each day. I would think that your dates of the 13th through the 20th would see you miss the tremendous crowds that bring 120-minute stand-by waits for attractions like Space Mountain while allowing you to take advantage of Disney's free dining.

Best of all, with the new Fast Pass+ selection system where you can choose up to three attractions in advance of your visit, you should be able to manage the wait times for the most popular attractions much easier.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
