Hiya, Justine! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Is there anything better than planning a Walt Disney World vacation? Alright, actually going on a Walt Disney World vacation is better, but I think the holiday planning stage is a close second (I may be biased). The
magical possibilities and
combination of experiences are almost endless!
Let’s start with the crowd question. It’s difficult to reliably predict crowd levels at Walt Disney World, especially more than a year in advance. There may be days that are historically less busy, but then that can quickly shift with the opening of a new attraction or show. That being said, I’ve found October to be a bit less busy; however, the crowd levels at each theme park are often impacted by the
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party schedule. November can be busier than October as the parks and resorts switch over to the
winter holiday season, and more people have time off from work and school in the United States.
Now on to the weather. You’re correct that October and November in Florida will be cooler than the summer months. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the average high temperature in the Orlando area for October is 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29.4 degrees Celsius), with an average low of 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius). I can tell you from experience that a few degrees shift in either direction can have a big impact, so be sure you come prepared for warmer temperatures (water bottle, hat, sunscreen, etc.) and cooler weather (spirit jersey, jacket, etc.).
I hope this information is helpful, Justine, and that you have a spectacular visit to Walt Disney World in 2026. Don’t hesitate to pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
