Hi Kristin,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian!
The Christmas holiday season is simply beautiful at the Walt Disney World Resort. The lights, the music, the characters, the stories - they all remind me of the goodness of humanity. Although the week before Christmas will allow you to see the gorgeous holiday decorations, the parks tend to get busier the closer it gets to Christmas day. We always check various online crowd calendars prior to making a decision. Having visited in December and January, however, I can say that although the parks can get crowded, the crowds are manageable as long as you plan
Fast Pass+ selections and
advanced dining reservations.
Prior to your visit, be sure you review the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort activities. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is magical and Candlelight Processional is amazing. The celebrity narrators and music at the Candlelight Processional made time seemingly stand still the last time I visited. For those few moments, we took a break from our mad dash through the parks and appreciated the sense of joy inspired by the show.
Kristin, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for news about this year's events. In the meantime, you might find
The Best of the Holidays at Disney Parks Featured in New 'Inside Disney Parks' article helpful as you make your plans!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
