How crowded should I expect it to be in the Disney World parks when on vacation from April 28th thru May 4th 2012? And which of the 4 parks is the crowdiest in what order? And what tempertures should I expect during my stay?

    Hi Sheri,

I think late April/early May is a fabulous time to visit Walt Disney World!  My sister's family visits in early May often because of the light crowds and fabulous weather.  In early May, spring break is over for the vast majority of American students so crowd levels should be very reasonable.  In fact, my sister reports having walked right on to many of the theme park rides during her early May visits.  Meanwhile, typical May temperatures (with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s) make visiting the theme parks a delight.  Shorts and short-sleeved shirts will suit you well at this time of year.  Just be sure to toss a light jacket into your suitcase for evenings.

It's hard to tell which theme parks will be most crowded on any specific day.  Many of my friends check touringplans.com for predicted crowd levels.  However, I find that if I get to the park of my choice early enough, it really doesn't matter which one I visit as the lines are quite reasonable early in the day.

Have an amazing visit to Walt Disney World this spring and don't hesitate to let us know if you need any additional information or advice.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
