Hi Danielle,
Fall is one of my favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort...the weather tends to be great, and there are usually lower crowd levels in the Parks due to kids being back in school. If you are traveling during this time your visit may also coincide with two of my favorite special events, the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and
Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party!
Walt Disney World Theme Park Hours & Calendars have already been released for September, October and November. If you wish to look up potential travel dates during this period, you can review the list of scheduled park hours. Please be aware that Disney can adjust schedules so please keep a close watch on the calendar for any updates as you get closer to your trip.
While in general fall tends to be a less busy time for travel, I suggest you try to avoid major holidays, including Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, and of course Thanksgiving, which tends to be one of the busiest times at Walt Disney World.
If you are looking for more detailed estimates of anticipated crowds, you may wish to consult touringplans.com and easywdw.com. Please note that these are independent websites which are not affiliated with the Walt Disney company in any way, nor does Disney endorse the accuracy of the information. However, in the past I have personally found both of these websites helpful when planning my trips.
Danielle, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning your trip. Should you have any other questions, please let us know. We are here to help.
