Is Crossroads at House of Blues a good place to take a 2-1/2 year old for dinner? I know there is live music so that worries me. If not, what would some good restaurants with real good food to take a 2-1/2 year old for dinner in Disney Springs?

    Hi Nicholas,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. As a Mama to a 3 year old boy, I can understand wanting to pick the perfect restaurant for your upcoming visit to Disney Springs.

I haven’t tried Crossroads at House of Blues with my little guy yet, but I can understand your concern. If you go early enough in the evening (say, around 5:00), then there shouldn’t be a problem. After that, it would depend on whether there was any live music scheduled that night. If you really want to eat there, I would suggest calling the restaurant directly in order to ask them any questions you may have.

While “real good food” is a matter of taste, I would personally stay away from T-Rex and Rainforest Café as I don’t find their food to be outstanding (although their theming may really appeal to your little one). I would actually recommend two restaurants: The BOATHOUSE or, believe it or not, Raglan Road™ Irish Pub and Restaurant! I took my little guy to Raglan Road when he was barely two and he absolutely loved the Irish dancing and the music (although we didn’t get to stay very long as it was WAY past his bedtime). The food was also top notch. The BOATHOUSE would also be a great choice for excellent food and surprising variety with respect to the kids meals.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit!

    Have a Magical Day,
