Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Iris!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. If there's one thing I know as a mom of four young kids, it's that getting a good night's sleep is a
must during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Believe me, all it takes is a few sleepless nights and our micro-Jedis are officially ready to join the Dark Side. So to make sure your little one stays on the Light Side of The Force, I'm happy to share a few details about sleeping options at Disney Resorts Collection hotels for the tiniest travelers, so you know what to expect during your upcoming visit.
I'm happy to report that all Disney Resorts Collection hotels have
portable cribs available for use during your stay. If you're staying at a Deluxe Resort, you'll likely find a crib waiting for you in the closet of your Villa, otherwise, they can be requested when you make your reservation or once you arrive at your Resort. At all Resorts, you'll find standard-size Pack 'n Play playards –– to give you an idea of size, I learned that these beds typically measure 39.5 x 28.25 x 29 inches. In the past, a few Resorts have also had slightly larger cribs available on a first-come basis, so if you're interested in these, I recommend asking a Cast Member at the Front Desk once you arrive at your Resort. If you need a larger crib, there are also third-party services that offer crib rentals –– for more details, I recommend performing a quick web search to see what options are available.
One of my favorite parts about staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel with little ones is that their close proximity to Walt Disney World theme parks makes it easy to return to your room for a midday rest. In fact, even on an adults-only trip, I often plan to return to the Resort in the afternoon to rest and recharge. With small children, though, I definitely recommend planning this into your daily itinerary –– after your morning activities, jump on one of
Walt Disney World's complimentary Resort transportation options to head back home for a snooze (and usually some snacks). After everyone has had a chance to rest, you'll be ready to head back out to enjoy the rest of your night.
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Iris. I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust and plenty of sweet dreams during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
