Greetings, Michele, welcome to planDisney.
Thank you for your excellent question, and I sense a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort on the horizon - how exciting! My experience with credits has been positive, but it’s best that you reach out to
"Walt Disney World Resort Hotel" or "Tickets" depending on your type of credit for clarification and the final word. When you are ready to either book your Walt Disney World Vacation Package or purchase new theme park tickets please do so using the
Walt Disney World Resort site for Booking a Guest Room, a vacation package under the "Places to Stay" tab, or for theme park tickets under the "Parks & Tickets" tab on the main page.
Once booked please ensure your
reservation is linked to your Disney account. There is a method in the
My Disney Experience app that is easy to do - just tap on the three horizontal lines on the welcome page to open a page with many planning fields, look for "Tickets and Passes" or "Resort Hotel" to link your specific reservations.
Michele, at this time, to visit Walt Disney World Resort theme parks you will need a
Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservation using your valid theme park admission. Be sure to update your
Family & Friends list to include those with valid admission to your travel party to make things easier when selecting those from your Family & Friends list for any reservations.
As well, there is a new theme park ticket option that will save you time in lines called the
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane service which can be accessed in the My Disney Experience app. This service will enable you to select an arrival window for attractions that offer a Lightning Lane entrance.
I hope that this information is helpful, Michele, please take a look at the current
Walt Disney World Resort special offers which you could inquire about during your telephone conversation with Guest Services for a future stay.
Best Disney Wishes ~ Jacqueline
