Hi Tecia! Thanks so much for bringing your question on by planDisney! I'd love to help you figure this out so we can get you on your way to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Now, let's make like Moana and Maui and try to way find our way through your ticket questions so it's smooth sailing to the Disneyland Resort. It sounds like you have a single-day ticket that you previously purchased and now would like to use for a park day on May 6th. There are a few reasons why the system may not be letting you make this reservation, so let's see how far we can go to finding an answer:
1. The first could be that your ticket has expired. If this is the case, have no fear! Just like the heart of Te Fiti continues to glow, the magic in your ticket never fully runs out. You can always apply the value of the original ticket towards the purchase of a new one. If your ticket is not showing up in your account on the
website or the
Disneyland Mobile App, this may be the case. To view your ticket, navigate to "Tickets & Passes" within the app and your expiration should be there right under your ticket's barcode. If you are logging in to the website, go to your profile under "My Disneyland". From there, click into "Memberships & Passes" and it should be included alongside your ticket information. If you don't see your ticket or the expiration, you can also try referencing the original email confirmation you received when you made the purchase. If you still aren't having any luck finding that expiration date, our wonderful Cast Members in
Guest Services would be happy to help you!
2. Another reason you may be having an issue making a
reservation for May 6th is that single-day tickets are sold based on
tiered pricing. This means that the price changes depending on the day of the week and season. You may be holding a ticket that is of a lower tier than required for May 6th. I can see that May 6th is a
block-out date for tickets in Tiers 1, 2, and 3. You should be able to see which tier ticket you are holding by pulling up your ticket in the app or on the site as we did before. If you find yourself with a ticket in tier 1-3, you can discuss options to upgrade with Guest Services or by visiting the Main Entrance Gate Ticket Booths.
3. The last thing I can think of is that reservations for May 6th may already be filled for the moment. I took a quick look and the calendar still seems to be open for both single-day and Park Hopper tickets so this is likely not the case. You can always reference the
theme park reservation calendar to double-check availability.
I truly hope you can make it to the Disneyland Resort this spring. There is so much magic returning to the parks, including fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars Fantasmic!, World of Color, and, my personal favorite, The Main Street Electrical Parade!
Tecia, we are coming to the end of our voyage together. I hope you found this helpful in your planning. I know this was a lot to take in, so if you need anything else, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
