Hello Kathryn and welcome to planDisney!
You are going to love
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! My daughter and her young family just had their first experience at this lovely resort with a stay in a Cars Family Suite! My grandson spent most of his time impersonating Lightning McQueen while running around the spacious digs! Ka-Chow!
Kathryn, using a
Disney Gift Card is a smart way to budget for your vacation. I am always looking for Disney Gift Card deals before I leave on a trip. I will take a card or two with me for dining and souvenirs.
You will be able to either reload or purchase a new Disney Gift Card at the Ink & Paint Shop, which is the gift shop at Art of Animation resort. A Disney Gift Card can be reloaded for any amount between $5-$1,000 provided the total balance does not exceed $1,000. Disney Gift Cards can be reloaded at any Disney location that sells Disney Gift Cards.
I also take advantage of the website
disneygiftcard.com. I keep track of all the cards that I currently have and I’m able to transfer funds from one card to another up to $1,000 per card. This is where I go to know which physical card I’m going to take with me on my vacation. I name all of my physical cards a Disney character name and write it on the back of the card with a sharpie. This allows me to keep track of which card to take out of my card box to put in my wallet for the trip to the most magical place on earth!
Kathryn, if you have a resort day planned, you have picked the perfect resort to hang out around the pool. The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool around! It is so cool, dude! If the theme parks are calling you, jump on the
Disney Skyliner and fly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT in a jiffy!
Sounds like a perfect adventure to me, especially if you enjoy a Mickey Bar or two! Have a great one!
Kurt
