Different families have different ways of setting up their My Disney Experience accounts - there is no one "right" way to do it -- whatever works best for you. Originally, I created profiles for my husband and kids in my account, and that has been working well for us. Everyone in my family downloaded the
My Disney Experience mobile app on their own devices, and they all sign in using my credentials. That way they can see our plans, book
Lightning Lane attractions with Disney Genie+ service, and place
Mobile Food & Beverage Orders.
My eldest son has since created his own account, and I had the same issue as you. I needed to make sure that we didn't have two versions of the same person! I am happy to walk you through the steps. First, your husband should go ahead and create his own account. Next, on the
My Disney Experience website, sign in to your account and use the drop-down menu in the upper right corner to go to "My Family & Friends". Click the blue "Update" link next to your husband's name, and then in the blue pop-up box select "Share Planning with (husband's name)". You'll enter the email address associated with his new account, and he will receive an invitation to connect. Once he accepts, you should be all set. If you prefer to use the app instead of the website, the process is similar. Use the menu button in the lower right corner of the home screen, scroll down to "My Profile" and then select "Family & Friends List" at the top. Click on your husband's name. On the next screen, choose "Send Email" or "Scan Linking Code". Your husband can find his linking code under "My Profile". If after completing this process something doesn't seem right,
