Hi Amanda, and welcome to planDisney! I love how My Disney Experience makes it easy to manage plans for all of our family and friends. So with your trip coming up in just a few more days, let’s make sure you’re set to plan the best vacation ever!
When I’ve found myself in a tricky situation with MyDisney profiles, calling the
App and MagicBand Support phone number has always been helpful. The Cast Members there can advise the best way to resolve the issue you’re having. However, in the meantime, I’d be happy to talk through a couple of possible solutions!
If your daughter’s profile is on your
Family & Friends List, you should be able to include her in your planning. That means things like linking
MagicBands and theme park tickets to her profile, adding your daughter to a resort hotel reservation, and buying
Lightning Lane Passes for her.
First, let’s figure out who manages your daughter’s profile.
MyDisney accounts can be created by guests ages 13 and up, so if her profile was created when she was younger, it’s likely managed by an adult.
You can see who manages her profile in your
Family & Friends List by scrolling down to her name. The person who manages her plans will show up underneath her name and age in grey text.
If it’s someone you know, they can invite your daughter to take control of her profile. When they go into their
Family & Friends List, have them click on your daughter’s profile (it’ll show up under Guests You Manage). On the next page, they’ll see an Invite button, which will let them input your daughter’s email address. Then your daughter will get an email with steps to complete the process.
If you don’t see anything under her name and age, that means she technically controls her account. Since you don’t know which email address is associated with her account, I’d recommend calling the
App and MagicBand Support phone number I mentioned earlier. A Cast Member will help sort things out!
Since you’re going to be at Disney World for one of my favorite events, the
EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss
Disney Parks Blog’s festival foodie guide. It’s a great way to preview the offerings at the Outdoor Kitchens and start planning your snacking strategy!
I’m wishing your family the most magical vacation this weekend! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
