I created a child account for my nephew when linking tickets. My sister-in-law will be purchasing his genie+ and planning their reservation for them two but it shows that his account is only managed by me. Is there a way to give her full access instead?

    Hey howdy hey, Heather!

A warm welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It sounds like you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth with family this summer - how exciting! Heather, I'm happy to help you manage your party's plans in My Disney Experience. You've got a friend in me!

It sounds like you're planning a visit with several family members. The only thing better than visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is experiencing it alongside your loved ones! Heather, in My Disney Experience, the person who creates a child's profile will manage the profile and all plans for that child, and child profiles cannot be transferred to another individual. However, if your sister-in-law would like to make plans for your nephew as well, this is possible by linking your Disney profiles via your Family & Friends Lists! Once you're linked as Family & Friends, you'll be able to include one another in plans, from dining reservations to Lightning Lane entry selections!

First, your sister-in-law will need to create a Disney account in My Disney Experience, if she hasn't already. Next, you'll want to add your sister-in-law to your Family & Friends list by navigating to "My Family & Friends" on the Walt Disney World Resort website (under the My Disney Experience tab). Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Add a Guest." If you have an existing shared Disney Resort hotel reservation with your sister-in-law, my recommendation is to select "Import from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation" here. Otherwise, you can choose "I'll enter their name and age," fill out the requested details for your sister-in-law, select "Invite this Guest to connect," and enter the email address associated with her My Disney Experience. This will send an email to your sister-in-law, and once she accepts your invitation, you'll be able to see and include each other in your plans!

Heather, since your nephew already has an account in My Disney Experience, you'll need to give your sister-in-law access to your nephew's plans if she'd like to plan on his behalf. To do this, your sister-in-law will need to visit her Family & Friends page in My Disney Experience and choose "Add a Guest." Next, she'll choose "Find through my connected Guests," and she should see your nephew's profile listed here. Once she selects his name and chooses "Done," you'll receive an email invitation requesting access to your nephew's plans. If you accept this request, your sister-in-law's and nephew's accounts will link via their Family & Friends Lists. Now, your sister-in-law will be able to plan on your nephew's behalf, too!

I hope that you've found this information useful, Heather. I'm wishing you and your family members a most magical and memorable time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to come back to fly on back to visit us at planDisney again anytime. We're here to help - to infinity and beyond!

    So long partner,
