Unfortunately, once a MagicBand has been linked to an account, it cannot be re-assigned to another Disney account. In addition, depending on how long ago you created the account and linked the MagicBand, chances are that MagicBand may not be working anymore. Last year I decided to try using a beautiful Tiana MagicBand I purchased in 2017, but a Cast Member advised me that it would probably not link certain Disney PhotoPass content to My Disney Experience anymore. I was still able to use it to redeem admission to the theme parks, but I decided to purchase a
MagicBand+ and not worry about any functionality not being available.
planDisney tip: Besides using a MagicBand, there are other ways you can
access the magic. You are also welcome to create a
Disney MagicMobile pass via the My Disney Experience app and link it to your digital wallet to use your mobile device just as you would use a MagicBand.
