Welcome to
planDisney, Fernanda.
Adventure is out there! Since every adventure requires a first step, you did the right thing in coming to us. A visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth sounds practically perfect in every way. Did you know it's the
50th Anniversary Celebration? There's so much EARidescent excitement on offer, with new rides, spectacular shows, memorable merchandise, tasty treats, and dazzling décor. Get ready for your joy to soar to infinity and beyond.
But "let's get down to business." If you'd like to book just one room, then the
Walt Disney World website can help you put together a package that includes a hotel and Theme Park tickets. I actually tried to put a package together for you for the dates you mentioned. Since it's such short notice, I could only find hotel reservations for some of the pricier Disney Resorts Collection hotels. However, the good news is that there is still availability, which is not always guaranteed with less than a month to go. If you're flexible on your dates and you don't mind going in a few months' time, then you should be able to find more availability at the various amazing Resorts on-site.
There are a couple of other options for putting a vacation package together, Fernanda. One option is to
speak directly to a friendly Cast Member and they can help you put together a vacation package. You can give them your budget straight off the bat and they can find something that meets your needs. Another option is to find an authorized Disney vacation planner. There are a number of no-fee agents who can expertly help you plan your vacation (often even saving you lots of money in the process).
In terms of getting from the airport to Walt Disney World Resort, there are a number of options. Let me briefly lay them out for you:
Shuttle Services
You have a couple of options when it comes to shuttle services. The first option is Mears Connect. It's really easy to book and you can do so using their website. Starting in February, there is also going to be a second shuttle service available called Sunshine Flyer. Once you book your vacation, check out the websites of both these services and compare prices.
RideshareYou can also book a rideshare service, such as Uber or Lyft. Simply download their app(s) and make a booking at a time that works best for you. One of the big advantages of using a rideshare service is that you can leave when you're ready and you don't have to wait for other Guests. This means you get to your Resort a lot quicker!
Rental CarThere are a number of rental car companies at Orlando International Airport. This option is more expensive. Also, please note that there is an overnight fee to park at each Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
TaxisYou can go "old school" and book a traditional cab. This tends to be more expensive than a rideshare service.
As Ursula once said, "Life's full of tough choices, isn't it?" Planning a Disney vacation can be overwhelming, Fernanda. But that's why planDisney exists! We're here for you. If you'd like any more advice or tips, just
write me back. You don't have to step "into the unknown" alone. I hope you're able to have a magical vacation, Fernanda. Happy planning!
