How crazy is the week of President's Day. Thinking of going Sat thru Sat so the first weekend would be President's weekend, but don't want to go when its wall to wall people either.

Hi, Jennifer!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for February of next yEAR!  February is one of my favorite times to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth because the weather tends to be very comfortable during that time of year.  Although crowd levels are difficult to predict, February also tends to be a time when crowds at the Walt Disney World theme parks tend to be a bit lighter.

Of course, any time that children have days off from school, you can expect to see a bit of an increase in guests traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Therefore, President's Day weekend does tend to be slightly busier than other days throughout the month of February.  Also, you may want to check next year's runDisney race schedule as you plan your trip.  The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend typically takes place in late February, and you can expect to experience larger crowds during that weekend.

Jennifer, I would recommend that you pick a date for your trip that works for you, and Hakuna Matata - no worries about crowds.  With a little advanced planning, you can have a magical vacation no matter how busy the theme parks are.  I would reserve your vacation package as soon as they become available for booking to have the best selection of Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.  Vacation packages for 2020 became available to book during June of 2019, so start keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog this summer to see when your 2021 dates can be reserved.  Also, don't forget to make your dining reservations 180 days in advance.  You'll also want to select your FastPass+ experiences.  This can be done 60 days before your arrival if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or 30s in advance if you are staying elsewhere.
