Hey there Chuck and welcome to planDisney!
I love an ambitious itinerary for a Walt Disney World Resort visit. Now is your idea about racing to EPCOT just to attempt to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind a little crazy? It absolutely is but we're all a bit mad here so I certainly have no room to judge. As a person that strongly considered a 1-day trip complete with flights to spend the day at the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, I can appreciate your plan. I'll do my best to help you with a plan of attack.
So during my most recent visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, I already knew about the window to join the Virtual Queue for this particular attraction. At 7 AM Guests can slug it out for a spot via the
My Disney Experience app. But I also discovered there's a second opportunity to rock out among the stars. The Virtual Queue opens up at 1 PM to give more Guests a chance to ride. The one caveat, however, is that Guests that are attempting this second slot have to be in EPCOT already when the window opens. While this time is subject to change, the current time being 1 PM would exclude your party.
Now as your slightly mad Fairy GodTaylor, I encourage you, if you're driving to leave the house earlier. I just rode this coaster for the first time and I'm telling you it's worth the sacrifice.
Chuck, fingers crossed that you'll be able to save the galaxy this November. If it doesn't work out, I still think that EPCOT is a great way to start your holiday. A Disney day is better than a day anywhere else. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat.
Happy planning!
Taylor
