Hi Lynnette,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question! Your trip will be here before you know it. I know that "crazy excited" feeling so well! You are going to have an incredible time.
My mom rented an
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) from an outside source on our Walt Disney World Resort vacation last October. One of the main reasons that we rented from a different company is that Mom needed the scooter to get around the resort with ease. The Disney ECV's cannot leave the theme parks, unfortunately. By renting from an outside company, the scooter was waiting for us when we arrived at our resort hotel. It worked wonderfully. The great news is that your mom will be able to bring this ECV / scooter onto the complimentary
Disney Bus Service, as well as onto ferries, monorails, and other onsite transportation. You will see a designated spot for scooters at each bus stop. Your mom will simply pull into this spot and wait for the bus which is headed to your desired theme park. She will be the first to board the bus (at the entrance towards the rear) and one family member can get on with her. The rest of you will board through the regular door to the bus with other park guests. You will find that Disney is fantastic at accommodating guests with mobility challenges.
Please let us know if we can assist you further.
Wishing you magical memories,
Kaylene
