Hello there, Jennifer!
I have a close family member who requires a CPAP machine. So I understand the anxiety surrounding making sure everyone gets a healthy and restful rest, especially when traveling.
The
Disneyland Resort Hotels do not specifically restrict or limit the use of essential portable medical equipment by Guests staying in their rooms. However, it is important to understand and follow the safety guidelines specific to the equipment being used. If the equipment will be plugged into an electrical outlet, note that all of the outlets in your Disneyland Resort Hotel room will accept only Type A (NEMA 1-15 U.S. 2 pin) or Type B (NEMA 5-15 U.S. 3 pin) plugs. The standard power in the U.S. is 120 V AC at 60 Hertz frequency.
If your equipment plug is a Type I (AS/NZS 3112), then you will require at least a plug adapter. Be careful to verify the voltage and frequency requirements of the equipment as well. If the equipment expects 240 V and/or 50 Hertz power, then you will need to pack a special voltage adapter.
If possible, I recommend traveling with medical equipment that operates with a battery or battery backup. The power grid is quite reliable at the Disneyland Resort. But it may be a good idea to anticipate any issues with a loose power outlet or unexpected power outage.
I hope everyone in your party can rest up. That’s because there is a lot of magic to experience at the Disneyland Resort. The
Disney100 Celebration is just getting started. And I am there for it! I’m looking forward to experiencing
World of Color – ONE. I can’t wait to learn more about the difference that an individual can make.
I hope you have a magical time, Jennifer!
