Hello M!
So happy to have you here at planDisney with a great dining question!
Mobile Ordering has become such a trusty time-saving tool that I love to use at Walt Disney World. It has become vital technology that enables restaurants to prepare food and beverage selections in a streamlined manner. It’s so awesome, you can be in one area of a park and by the time you walk to your selected quick service restaurant, your order can be ready! I did this very thing at Magic Kingdom a few weekends ago: it was so cool to order food while walking through Liberty Square and then show up at
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe with food waiting. I felt like a foodie VIP!
Not only does it ensure that your food and beverages are ready when you are, mobile ordering also makes for way less crowds in restaurants. For example, it was so easy to pick up our order at
Satu’li Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We claimed a table, soaked up some Florida sun on the patio, and then the app notified us that our order was ready! We just walked right up to the food window the app told us to use, grabbed our tray, and off we went! Less time in lines means more time on rides, am I right?
Currently, over 30 restaurants offer the mobile ordering feature, and you can check the
list of participating restaurants. This has proved to be an especially important tool given the need for physical distancing during the
phased reopening at Walt Disney World.
While Disney highly recommends that Guests have the latest version of the
My Disney Experience app on their mobile device, Guests can also seek assistance from a CastMember if they do not have the app functioning. When I was at Magic Kingdom a few weeks ago, I was able to order a Dole Whip at
Aloha Isle by waiting in a queue and not having to use mobile ordering. However, if you can, try to have the app downloaded because it is a total game changer when it comes to placing food and beverage orders.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. If you have any more questions for us, we’re all ears! Have a magical vacation!
