Hello Stacie, and welcome to planDisney!
There is nothing better than sharing a trip to the magic with loved ones! I bet even Donald invites Mickey on a trip once in a while!
It sounds like you are going to be at the same Disney resort hotel but maybe just a few days earlier or later than your cousins. It might be hard to get adjoining or connecting rooms because of the different check-in days, but you can certainly request a room close by those cousins of yours! The way to do it is by calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and letting the friendly Cast Member know both reservation numbers. You will need to specify if you are looking for an adjoining room which is close by, or a connecting room which is connected to your main reservation room. The main thing to remember is that this is only a request. Requests are not guaranteed. Disney will do its best to honor all room requests, but they are not guaranteed, and with different arrival dates, this request might be a bit harder for the resort to honor.
The beauty of all the Walt Disney World resorts is the ability to find common areas to meet and to make memories with those loved ones! Even if your cousins end up in a different building at the resort, you will be able to meet in a beautiful lobby, a spectacular pool, a scrumptious dining area, or even at the bus stop to head to your favorite theme park!
Stacie, when we travel with extended family, we like to plan together before the trip to make sure we have at least one big family dining experience! One of our favorites on a recent trip was at
Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT! We have a grandson who is fascinated by rocket ships and flying in space! Boarding an elevator that propelled us into space was the start of a fantastic family memory! The food, which is prix-fixe, was outstanding! I recommend the
Orbit Filet Mignon which was out of this world! The little ones loved watching the view from the space station as we dined and it is a memory that we still talk about to this day!
Stacie, I know you and your cousins will be making some amazing memories during your magical trip! Don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
