My cousin & I (both in our 50s) are thinking about running the WDW half-marathon next January. My aunt (88 years old) will be along for the trip and we would LOVE for her to be part of the 5K. Are wheelchairs allowed as part of the stroller division?

Hi Steven!  OK, that just brought tears to my eyes!  I think it's great that you are going to run the half marathon, and even greater that you want to include your aunt!  And don't for one second think that being in your 50's will slow you down!  I was behind a lady in one race whose shirt said "I'm 80, I'm Hot, I'm AHEAD of you!"  And she was!  All the way to the finish line!
For your aunt, YES, there is a wheelchair division in the 5K's.  There are racing and non-racing divisions for wheelchairs.  The racing ones ( hand-crank)  begin before runners.  The non-racing division will line up behind the runners, with the walkers.
The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend information will be posted soon, so be sure to keep checking back on the runDisney website.  Also, feel free to ask me any questions you may have on here.  I can't wait to hear about your trip!
