my cousin and I are planning to come down to Florida she is 73 and I am 63, we would like to stay at your resorts and our time table is open. We don't want to come in the dead of summer. Could you help me get started with a resort and time of year

Welcome to planDisney, LuAnn! It's great to chat with a fellow resident of the Keystone state about the Most Magical Place on Earth.

LuAnn, the Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect vacation for Mouseketeers of all ages and I'm excited to help you on your planning journey. While summers are often great for those who want ample time to lounge by the pool, I appreciate that you'd like cooler temperatures. December, January and February tend to be the coolest months in Florida and you'll likely even need a jacket in the evenings. My family and I loved visiting the first week of December when you'll see holiday decorations start popping up around the Walt Disney World Resort. I do encourage you to avoid the end of December as crowds do increase a bit.

January and February are also great choices if you plan to stroll through the World Showcase of EPCOT. In the past, January and February have seen the International Festival of the Arts where artisans of all genres showcase their work throughout the park and you'll find delicious dishes around every corner!

Now, LuAnn, as you're considering travel dates, I encourage you to browse through the list of Disney Resorts Collection hotels. With so many choices, there is something for every taste and budget. If you're hoping to keep a little green in your pocket for souvenirs, I recommend checking out Disney's Pop Century Resort. This resort offers quick access to the Disney Skyliner and will have you longing for yesteryear! While a bit more of a splurge, Disney's Wilderness Lodge with boat access to Magic Kingdom Park, is my husband's favorite resort and is themed after the Pacific Northwest.

LuAnn, by clicking HERE you can take your time and peruse all of your options. Once you've selected a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and travel dates, you can easily book your vacation package (with tickets included) online. As you continue planning I hope you'll come on back to planDisney with any additional questions you might have.

Best wishes for a Magical trip.

    Lauren
